    grille

    just picked up my new truck does anyone know if there is an aftermarket grille to protect the intercooler?

    Here's the grille which is available at Phastek. There are other ones that they haven't put up yet...

    I installed one similar to the last photo on my truck (the bumper grill). All Aluminum, TIG welded....picked it up off Ebay for $41. I had to fabricate mounts because I refused to use the cheesy "L" brackets and bolt it to the plastic....I mounted mine to the frame behind the opening. It looks good, is very solid, and now I don't have to worry about a pheasant or a rock going through there and wrecking the intercooler.

    Nice... I've known quite a few people that have hit things which would probably put a good ding in an intercooler.
